Wolverine Ski Trail and the Lost Haven Cabin

The Wolverine Trails were built to serve as cross country ski trails. The Lost Haven Cabin is on the trail that leads out beyond the golf course and sits on the edge of the escarpment above the Murray River.

Cross Country Skiing

The loop to the Lost Haven cabin is 6.7 km.  However there is a 2 km loop trail beyond the cabin that is a worthwhile extra. Download the trail brochure.

Overnight use in the cabin requires permission from the Wolverine Nordic and Mountain Society. Visit

Other Cross Country Skiing Trails from the Golf Course

1.3 km and 2.5 km.  These trails are around the golf course fairways.  The 1.3 km route includes hole 1 and 2 then loops onto hole 8 and back to the clubhouse.  The 2.5 km loop includes all 9 holes at the golf course.

The 4 km/5 km loops
Starting out on the fairways and heading into the woods from hole 4 of the golf course heading towards the Lost Haven Cabin.  There is a cut-off right at the first junction to ski 4 km or head further for a 5 km loop.
