Who is TRORA?

Established in 2022, the Tumbler Ridge Outdoor Recreation Association is a non-profit association, consisting of a range of backcountry user groups and local businesses. Their key goals are focused on community and public education to help backcountry use and improve the backcountry experience for all user groups.

The “Big Four” user groups shown above (Wolverine Nordic & Mountain Society, TR Ridge Riders Snowmobile Club, Grizzly Valley ATV Club and the Tumbler Ridge Mountain Bike Association) joined forces with the District of Tumbler Ridge's Economic Development team. They united based on shared interests, a common vision, and concerted efforts to bring this new association to fruition. With these remarkable groups working together as a cohesive unit, the future for outdoor recreation in Tumbler Ridge shines brightly.
