A Spook-tacular Event

The Tumbler Ridge Days Society joined forces with The Blunden’s Yard Haunt to deliver a frightfully fantastic event at the Tumbler Ridge Fairgrounds on October 28th. The theme? CarnEvil of Horrors! This experience wasn’t just about scares—it also had a heartwarming purpose, raising funds and collecting non-perishable donations for the local food bank.

For younger ghouls and goblins who preferred not to brave the haunt, the main building was transformed into a vibrant children’s carnival. With 13 unique games alongside classic carnival activities like balloon darts, there was plenty of fun for families. Adding to the festive atmosphere, the local fire department was on-site to host a cozy bonfire and serve steaming cups of hot chocolate, creating a welcoming space for all ages.

Now, let’s talk about the main attraction—the CarnEvil of Horrors haunt. If you’ve ever had a fear of clowns, this was the ultimate test of courage. The maze, spanning 300 feet, was packed with spine-chilling features, including appearances by Pennywise from It and Art the Clown from the Terrifier films. It was a walk-through of pure nightmare fuel, bringing childhood fears to life while creating a few new ones along the way.

A huge shoutout to the volunteers, the Tumbler Ridge Days Society, and the Blunden Family for their hard work and creativity. Their efforts made the CarnEvil of Horrors an unforgettable night for the community. Thanks to their dedication, this event was a perfect blend of spooky fun and community spirit—a night to remember in Tumbler Ridge!
