Looking for a great fishing experience? Look no further than the Derby at Tumbler Ridge UNESCO Global Geopark! Taking place on two beautiful lakes, Moose Lake and Stoney Lake, this event offers something for every angler. With individual weigh-in stations and prize categories for each lake, you can try your luck at all three over the course of the weekend. Plus, by spreading the event across multiple lakes, we can help preserve the fish populations while providing a fun camping and fishing adventure. And don't forget - all children under 8 fish for free and receive a special prize. Join us for a weekend of fishing, fun, and prizes at the Derby in Tumbler Ridge!

1st Annual Internal Mine Rescue Competition
Conuma Resources presents the 1st Annual Internal Mine Rescue Competition on Saturday, April 20th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. The competition will be held in Tumbler Ridge, BC, at the Conuma town office parking lot. Live rescue events include First Aid, Rope Rescue, Fire, and Vehicle Extrication. Each mine site will have a representative team for Wolverine, Brule, Willow Creek, and Quintette. There will be a BBQ lunch, kids' events, and awards. All are welcome to join us for this community event!

Tumbler Ridge Riders Snowmobile Association - Annual Poker Ride
Join us at Core Lodge for a fun family experience! The excitement begins at 10 am with a thrilling ride, and participants have the chance to win fantastic prizes for the best hand. After the adventure, join us for a prize ceremony with food and drinks. The entry fee is $10 per hand for members and $20 per hand for non-members. Don't miss out on the fun for everyone!
The Tumbler Ridge Museum's Inland Sea Beach Party
We are having a beach party!
The Tumbler Ridge Museum will be hosting a fundraiser on Saturday, November 4th from 7pm to 10pm. This is an +19 event! There will be a silent auction, cash bar, food and activities!
Tickets are $30, and are now on sale at the museum and online through arts council, just scan the QR code.

Emperor's Challenge 2023
The Emperor's Challenge is a popular mountain race held annually in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, Canada. The race is a challenging trail run that covers a distance of approximately 20 kilometres (12.4 miles) through the scenic wilderness of the Tumbler Ridge area.
The route follows a steep and rugged terrain, including several challenging climbs, with a total elevation gain of about 1800 meters (5900 feet). The course takes runners through beautiful alpine meadows, dense forests, and rocky ridges, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
The Emperor's Challenge is known for its difficulty, and only experienced and well-prepared runners are recommended to participate. The race is also known for its sense of community and camaraderie, with many local volunteers and supporters cheering on the runners along the way.

National Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration
This special day is an opportunity for all Canadians to acknowledge and celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures, and outstanding contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. The Geopark is teaming up with the Tumbler Ridge Secondary School and their First Peoples class for a special celebration, which includes a Free BBQ by the Lions Club, Prizes, Bannock, and kids' games.
BC Trails Day in Tumbler Ridge
Have you heard about BC Trails Day? It's coming up on the first Saturday of June, and it's an amazing opportunity to celebrate and care for our gorgeous trail system. Not only is this day to promote responsible recreation and environmental stewardship, but it also helps us all enjoy the great outdoors. This year, the Tumbler Ridge Outdoor Recreation Association is teaming up with the Geopark to make it an adventure to remember. Trust me, you won't want to miss it! We have some family friendly guided hikes, group ATV rides and the first of the season Forest to Fork program. Call the Visitor Centre to sign up (250) 242-7837
