The Tumbler Ridge Days Society joined forces with The Blunden’s Yard Haunt to deliver a frightfully fantastic event at the Tumbler Ridge Fairgrounds on October 28th. The theme? CarnEvil of Horrors! This experience wasn’t just about scares—it also had a heartwarming purpose, raising funds and collecting non-perishable donations for the local food bank.

The Tumbler Ridge Days Society has achieved a monumental milestone, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate their success! After five years of hard work, dedication, and community spirit, the capital project for the Tumbler Ridge Fairgrounds is officially complete. This project has been a labor of love for many, and the results are simply remarkable.

A huge shoutout to the Tumbler Ridge Ridge Riders for organizing a truly electrifying community event. The recent Freestyle Motocross event brought adrenaline fueled action to our town, and we couldn't have asked for a more enthusiastic crowd to share in the excitement.

The 2024 Emperor’s Challenge has officially come to a close, and what an event it was! A huge congratulations to all the racers who took on the grueling course this year. Despite the sweltering temperatures that added an extra layer of difficulty, our athletes powered through with incredible determination, making this year’s challenge a resounding success.

This past weekend, the Geopark celebrated a decade of achievements with a special BBQ event.

The Tumbler Ridge Global Geopark’s 6th annual Fishing Derby was a resounding success, thanks to the incredible participation of our residents and visitors!

As many of you know, our town is experiencing a surge of activity with the restart of the Quintette mine. While we wholeheartedly support our local industry, it's crucial that we also maintain the delicate balance that makes Tumbler Ridge such a special place for residents and visitors alike.

Over the weekend, Conuma Resources hosted its first Mine Rescue Competition at the Conuma town office parking lot in Tumbler Ridge. The event kicked off at 10am and wrapped up around 3:30pm. Four teams, representing each mine site, competed in challenges like First Aid, Rope Rescue, Fire, and Vehicle Extraction.

The time has come to dust off your hiking boots, stretch those muscles, and prepare for an epic journey. Yes, you guessed it right! Registration for the highly anticipated Emperor's Challenge is now open, and trust me, you don't want to miss out!
