Balancing Growth and Nature
Hi Tumbler Ridge Visitors!
As many of you know, our town is experiencing a surge of activity with the restart of the Quintette mine. While we wholeheartedly support our local industry, it's crucial that we also maintain the delicate balance that makes Tumbler Ridge such a special place for residents and visitors alike.
With the uptick in industrial activity, our hotels are experiencing higher-than-normal occupancy rates, and our campsites may see increased traffic this summer. We kindly remind you that Monkman RV Park will not be open for summer camping until May 10, and Flatbed Creek Campground will open on May 13. Planning your outdoor excursions accordingly will ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit. For those interested in combining golf and camping, the Golf Course Campground is now open for the season. It offers a serene setting amidst Tumbler Ridge's breathtaking scenery.
Above all, let's uphold our collective commitment to preserving and respecting the natural beauty of our home. Tumbler Ridge has endured various economic cycles over the years, and we must navigate this current boom period with careful consideration for our environment and community well-being. Your actions matter.
Together, let's ensure everyone can enjoy the spring and summer months in Tumbler Ridge with minimal disruption. By working collaboratively, we can continue fostering a vibrant and sustainable community for generations.
