Quality Lake
A great ride with unparalleled views awaits you on the Quality Lake Trail. This beautiful ATV trail, created in 2016, follows the top of the Tumbler Ridge, and offers panoramic views of the town of Tumbler Ridge and the Rocky Mountains. Start your ride by following the trail up to the tower overlooking the town. As you journey onward you will find viewpoints and benches along the way that provide some spectacular photo opportunities. Quality Lake, at the end of the trail, is a favourite with local anglers, and is a tranquil place to stop for lunch over a campfire before your return journey.

ATV
The Quality Lake trail follows the top of the Tumbler Ridge, and provides unparalleled views of the town and the Rocky Mountains to the west. Travelling further up the Bearhole Lake Forestry Service Road provides access to several other trails, including Thunder Mountain.

Kayaking
Quality Lake is the ideal destination for paddlers seeking a picturesque retreat. Take in the serene ambiance as you kayak across the tranquil waters, accompanied by the sounds of chirping birds.

Fishing
Every spring Quality Lake is stocked with catchable sized rainbow trout. In the nutrient-rich waters of this lake, the trout grow large quite quickly, which makes for a great opportunity for anglers of all ages.

History
The Quality Lake trail was built by unemployed local youth with the support of the Tumbler Ridge Chamber of Commerce, Pattern Energy and many local businesses and with provincial Job Creation Program (JCP) funding.

Quality Lakes offers opportunities for wildlife and bird viewing. Ensure that you keep your distance from wildlife and refrain from feeding animals.

Photography
There are great photo opportunities on the Quality Lake trail of the expansive vistas featuring the town of Tumbler Ridge. You may also capture a photo of wildlife on the trail or at Quality Lake.
Dates of Operation
While the road to Quality Lake is open year-round, the access road may not be plowed in the winter. Check with the Visitor Centre for the latest road conditions.
Book a Campsite
Currently there is not an official campsite at Quality Lake. Bearhole Lake which is just down the road from Quality Lake does have camping available.

How to Get Here
Quality Lake is located approximately 20 km east of Tumbler Ridge. Access is via the Kiskatinaw Forest Service Road. You can access the Forestry Road from the Highway 52 North. Please note: The Forestry Road is not usually maintained and becomes rutted and slippery after rains. Caution advised.
For those approaching from Dawson Creek the trailhead is approximately 90 km south on Highway 52 and approximately 2 km past the Quality Falls trailhead.
Quality Lake Trail
The trail head is approximately 7.5 km north of Tumbler Ridge from the Co-Op bulk station and approximately 800 m past the Quality Canyon trailhead, on the south side of the road. Follow the trail up to the tower overlooking town. Continue on from there, stopping at the viewpoints and benches along the way for some fantastic photo opportunities. Just before coming out onto the Bearhole Lake Forestry Service Road at km 5, the trail goes off to the right and parallels the road to km 6, where it then takes you to the back side of Quality Lake.
