Camping.
There are many places to camp on the river, either on the sand banks, or up in the trees. Lions Flatbed Campground is conveniently located 1 km from the boat launch on Highway 29.

Amenities
There is a picnic table and outhouse at the Murray River boat launch. Just across the bridge at Lion’s Flatbed Campground you will find many amenities. Enjoy lunch at the covered picnic area, warm up by the firepit, freshen up with a coin-operated shower, and let the kids burn off energy at the exciting playground.

Trails
There are plenty of trails nearby including Flatbed Pools where you can view dinosaur footprints right on the edge of the creek! Flatbed Falls and the TR Trail are also very close to Flatbed Campground.
Dates of Operation
The Murray River freezes during the winter months but it usually opens up in the early spring.

How to Get Here
This Murray River boat launch is located about 2 km from Tumbler Ridge on Highway 29 towards Chetwynd. The Lions Flatbed Campground is just before the bridge, the boat launch is just after it.
